Customizing width of side components (not entire journal)

Is there a way to specify the width of the component boxes (profile, link, m\b\t, etc.) that run along side the journal entries?

I know there is this code, where you can change the width of the entries and components together:
var string k1Swidth = "80%"; # width of component layout (including entries and components)
...but I want to be able to specify the width of the components, so it never changes regardless of the width of your screen, res., etc. I want the component boxes to always be 180 pixels wide.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance...
