Random image component - sizing images

I currently have the cut/paste version of this tutorial. I would like to be able to remove loveable Frank and replace him with images of my own. My question: Is there a way to specify the dimensions of the image that is displayed (similar to a thumbnail) so that I would not have to manually edit images?
