Calendar component jumps down when navigating.

I keep meaning to ask and keep forgetting to. When I click on the arrows on my calendar component to navigate to previous months, it expands and the month and dates all move downward to the point where some of the dates are practically completely cut off from view. Is this something I can fix or am I stuck with it being that way?
