Question reg, components

What determines the width of your components?

I want to make mine a bit wider so I can display the poem in one of my free text components without carrier returns. Does that make any sense at all?

I'm wondering if it's the width of the picture I'm using that's determining the width of all the components.

Here's my journal to (hopefully) get an idea of what I'm talking about.
