The Profile Component...

Well, the first code I posted worked fine for me, I can't figure out what would have caused the problems some of you are having with it... But the post I made before has been edited with a shorter code that's easier to understand... so that might help with some of the problems. So far I haven't had any problems with it. I also tested it with the components on the right and left sides, as I've seen some people posted that it messed up if you had components on the left side.

If you're still having problems with the new code, let me know and we'll try to figure it out.

Style sheet help

Apologies in advance for my limited knowledge of s2 and stylesheets.

I recently used the stylesheet overrides in order to fix the font problem. Now I'm trying to update my font colors, but I'm finding that I must change them both in the stylesheet (for the general colors of the page) and in the "Edit Customizations" page (for the corner images). Can the font colors be left out of the stylesheet so that one may just make the color changes on the "Edit Customizations" page, or do all of the properties (font info., colors, alignment, etc.) need to be included in the stylesheet? I would just fiddle around with my layers, but I don't want to wreck anything ;)

I'm not sure I'm being 100% clear, so if you have questions, feel free to ask!

linking to external files

u know how u can link to external css files on other websites? is it possible to make an include command for the s2 console that will read from a file on my personal website and grab s2 code to run on the livejournal server? ... i have 3 versions of my journal (one is the default grey, another is red/orange, and the 3rd is halloween-style). i want to have identical components on each layout and if i could link to an external file, i would only need one copy of that code.

one thing that may not allow this is security violations of webservers.
