I know this is a silly question, but I'm not very talented with trying to customize anything, but I was wanting to put a sitemeter on my journal to track the IP of people who go there. I have the code, now where do I put it?

Thanks

I'm having CSS problems.

I've got this section I want to make transparent, or partially, and i'm not sure how to do it.

it's a section within the entry-override portion of my code, which means what i'm trying to do is something like

.comBg.divClass {
filter:alpha(opacity=65); -moz-opacity:0.65;
}

is there any way to do such a thing? or should I start throwing the SPAN tag around?

Hi everyone. I was looking at http://www.livejournal.com/portal and the idea came to me that it would be cool to add two components, one with the auto-updating Birthday thing, and the other with the auto-updating memories thing.

Any idea how that might be achieved?

I've searched through the group, but haven't found what I'm looking for, so if this is a repeat question and I'm just not aware of it, then I apologize.

I want to edit the calender link out of my navigation bar. Is that possible?

Edit: I fixed this problem by accident. I did an "override default" on the Navigation Calendar Text and left the text box blank. Now, there's no more calender link in my Nav Bar. :)

I would like to add the following line to the head section of my document
<base target="whatever">
What this line will do is cause all the links on my page to open in a new window.

I would also like to be able to specify that the links created on the link list be targeted to the same page. So I would need the link list links to look like the following
&lt;a href="<a href='http://www.whatever.com' rel='nofollow'>http://www.whatever.com</a>" target="_self"&gt;
so that they would load into the same window in spite of the fact that all other links on the page would open in a new window. In other words, I want the top bar and the links list to load in the same page while comments and links supplied by members of my friend's list load in a seperate browser named by me (whatever).

If you can only answer half the question, feel free.

fixed, cuz component_help members r00l!

in my personal journal's new to-do list .. i'm getting some funky behavior with the spacing in my ordered and unordered lists. This isn't because of BR tags... i'm not quite sure why. I'm going to make a list here, just to test how it looks in my friend-view and on component_help's view. Anyone got any ideas?

  • UL list item 1
  • UL list item 2
    1. nested OL item 1
    2. nested OL item 2
  • UL list item 3

My friends who do not have LJs and want to make comments are getting a message that they cannot? what is this about? My journal is not friends-only.
