I'm new! Hey!

I need help so badly. I just got a paid account as a gift from someone. I've been wanting to use the Component theme, but it's hard to override styles. I am using it right now, but I would love to make MAJOR changes.

I was wondering if someone can do such a coding that can make my journal look somewhat like bluicyfire's own?

I've been reading all the entries, but I'm still very confused.

Thanks in advance!

Overriding the nav-bar at the bottom. [i'm guessing ...]

How does one override the past # entries/next # entries bar at the bottom of the page?

Mine's screwing with the width stuff I'm trying to do on my journal and I don't like it. It's not specified in my page_layout oeverride, so I think it has to be put in by the print_my_entries($p, $title); call, but I'm not seeing it specified in that override either, I'm guessing it's specified in $p->print_body();

I'm guessing I'm going to have to override function print_bottom_nav, but I haven't a clue how I should do that.. I'm guessing in order to orverride print_bottom_nav I'm going to do something like the following

function print_bottom_nav(***variables passed to this function, how do I find what they are??***) {.
<HTML FOR INTRICATE TABLE THAT HAS THE PAST/FUTURE LINKS INCLUDED>
</HTML FOR INTRICATE TABLE THAT HAS THE PAST/FUTURE LINKS INCLUDED>
}

It says here, that RecentPage p is passed to the function print_bottom_nav, is that what I should place between the ***s above? Basically is that just the variable that says how far into the skip-stage everything is?

Has anyone ever overriden this before? I think in terms of the 'figure out how far into the skipping entries' logic, I'm just going to steal masterslacker's info from his roundedNAVbar tutorial...

I would appreciate any suggestions, insights, answers, help, whatever....very very very much...
Thanks,
Tom
