About the friends page.

I was wondering if there was a way to get my friends page to only display entries that are from my friends only and not from communities?

I'm like in 50 + communities and when I look at my friends page I only see it clogged with entries from those communities and I'm getting tired of it.

Can someone help me out a little and tell me what's the first step to getting my journal looking like this? I pretty much want that layout with a image on top. Of course I'll come up with my own image and colors. :)
