how do i get rid of the "previous" in my navigation?
xtomxfallsx
I've just started using Component today and I've got it tweaked very nearly to my liking.  There are just two things I can't seem to figure out, no matter how much I edit the print_entry function.

1.  I can't seem to get the mood text to align vertically to the middle of the mood image rather than the bottom.  I've tried a div and a table and neither did anything but screw up the mood section of the entry.

2.  I'd like to make the user icon/name section of friends page entries look a bit more like Generator (which I used until today).  I'd like for the background/foreground colors that I chose for my friends/communities when I added them to apply to the text in addition to the border around the image.  I've photoshopped a couple images to demonstrate what I mean.
Edit: Thanks to daimones for solving this for me.

Any help on this would be most graciously appreciated.

Hi, is there a code I can insert in my theme to stop this from happening? Everytime the reply button is clicked, my page expands, whereas my regular entries don't show up as such. Why does this happen, does anyone know? Thanks.

First of all to let you know, I used this tutorial (http://www.livejournal.com/users/component_help/63316.html).

And I think I did this right so that you guys can view my theme. http://www.livejournal.com/customize/advanced/layerbrowse.bml?id=626646

Or go here if that doesn't work: http://www24.brinkster.com/bubblesinmyhead/my%20theme.txt

My problem is that on my friends list view the scrolling entries are a little buggy in their width and they follow no pattern for me to understand. It seems the ones with a lj-cut are warped out? Some of the entries are stretching out too wide and overlapping on components. However on MY recent entries page they all are in perfect alignment?

Also I want the scroll bar to appear only on my recent entries and friends page. Someone mentioned that I use this:

if ($p.view=="friends") {
"""
[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<div [...] auto;">') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

To get that effect but where would I put that in my code? Thanks a bunch to whoever can help me. You guys have a lot of patience and I really appreciate it!!

EDIT: I made a minor change but it's probably not the right thing to do because now on my entry page the entry looks like this: http://www.livejournal.com/users/bubblesinmyhead/225595.html
With the scrollbar halfway in the page.

Under this section: if ($e.text->length() > $maxLength) {
I edited the width to be about 155 less than the specified width of 500px. And then it seemed to display better, maybe because of the user pics? Hmmm...

Hello! I'm trying to mess around with component again but I'm currently stuck on a few things.

1] I used the "customising your entries" tutorial to try and get the userpic ( on both recent and friends pages ) inside the table/ box that holds the entry text. While I have finally succeeded,there's some table of some sort underneath that I can't figure out how to get rid of. A few tags probably got displaced in the several hours of copy and paste I've been doing but if anyone has a general idea of what I've done wrong, that would help a lot.

2] There's a light green border outlining all the dark green component heads. Is there a way to get rid of that? Or is that the flatbox tutorial thing? I am hoping the answer is no on the latter because I don't get it but again, any help would be great.

Hello! I have 2 questions...

How do I change the height of the headers on my entrys?[done]

And is it possible to make the borders around components and entrys thinner?

I had the size of the main component box (the one where all my LJ entries go) set to 900px:

function page_layout(Page p) {

var string k1Swidth = "900px";

which was just fine, until today when it suddenly, and spontaneously, changed itself. The code still reads the same, but suddenly the component box is huge and I have to scroll across to see everything. I didn't touch the code and I have no idea why it's doing this. Changing the numbers isn't doing anything either. Can anyone help?

Fixed. Thank you kurogane. Man, do I feel foolish.
