I have a quick, and simultaniously inane, question.

Is it possible to change the color of this selection?

See pictureCollapse )

The color in question is #D6D6D6 and I've tried going into the user layer, but I can't figure out which control actually changes it. Thanks so much for any help - it's appreciated!
I'm trying to make my layout relatively simple, like ellefleur's. (by simple I mean not too many custom boxes...something clean & easy).

I've read ALL THE TUTORIALS here in the memories, and whenever I create my custom component layout nothing in my stylesheet works. I don't understand it. I can edit opal and boxer...and I can't edit component, everyone says this is easier.

I do my stylesheet create the theme layer...and everything stays white with plain default links. And nothing resizes...

What am I doing wrong?
Is there a way to hide my navigation bar?

1)Is there anyway to change the color of the table where the person's icon, ip, etc is at in the comments?

2) I have skins but they change when I click on a link (friends page, comments, etc). Is there anyway to fix it where it doesn't change..?

I was wondering if anyone could help me go back to rounded components from the square ones. I can't figure out which of the coding that I need to get rid of to go back.

Thanks margotdarko

Ok. So I got some overrides to make my journal look great. Now, they do not have tutorial on how to post these. I have tried. It's from LJlayouts. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The overrides S2 ComponentCollapse )

I have one other question if anyone is able to help, i didn't delete code for square entries with my header in it but can't figure out how to make that back to round also...

the code used there is:Collapse )
So you started with the Wizard and then later learned enough of the coding to build from the tutorials, but you ended up with your colors in your User layer, and then later added more customization to your User layer. But you wish to sort it all out now as per this tutorial (which is an excellent starting place for anyone new to customizing Component!) so that all your colors are in your Theme Layer and your customizations are in your User Layer.

Please note, this is my first tutorial, so please be kind.
Cick here to go to the tutorial.Collapse )

I looked in the tutorials and couldnt find anything to help me for what I am trying to do. On the comment parts where it says "4 comments OR post comment" how do I get that "OR" out of there? Thanks
Sorry to post agian so soon, but I think I may be closer to finding a soultion to this

[style media="screen" type="text/css"]
img { border-width: 0px; filter: alpha(opacity=100); -moz-opacity: 1.00; }
.entryHolderBg { filter:alpha(opacity=65); -moz-opacity:0.65; }
.compBg { filter:alpha(opacity=65); -moz-opacity:0.65; }

( replaced < w/ [ so code was visabul)

I know the code works b/c when it set the filter to 0 the images are gone (transparent) but I can only change the way the images look if the number is under 65 (my transparncy level on the background) is there a simple little peice of this code i'm missing to over-ride the .compBg filter?

somebody please read this and help me.

so a while ago, i worked for over a week to figure out and make it layout work.
I get home today, and my layout had changed from COMPONENT to GENERATOR. So i went to the question section on livejournal and read that its a common problem. so I changed it back to coponent.
BUT NOW, when I go to the customization area, all my old cusotmizations are gone and there isnt even the option of free text. so none of my coponents are showing up and it doesnt even give me the option of putting the calender on there or anything. please please help me.
