Component Help

I have figured out how to add more links in navigation bar, but those links does not show up in navigation component. So my question is: is it possible to either modify navigation component - or create a new, so that next and previous will appear too?

I have been working on this problem all afternoon. I am so confused. Any help would be appreciated.
