corner color?

Hey all, first time posting here however I am an avid user of your tutorials. You guys do an awesome job!

anyways, my question is, for a layout I am currently working on (not my current one) I am trying to figure out how to change the color of the corners of the components. Ive made the borders of each of the components black to match my background however the corners are blaring white.

When looking at the code I am assuming that it has to do with $corner_color. How is this set and how can I change it? Or better yet, how do I override print_comp_header?

Hope someone can help.
