stock module?

This is actually more of a request than a question. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to create a module that would display stock quotes with a search box for other quotes. I'm thinking of a component similar to the My Yahoo! stock module. I've got a good enough handle on S2 now to create the box with the HTML, but I'm unsure about how to build the functional part of the module. Perhaps there's some way to display an external module from another site (i.e. Yahoo, Fox News)?
