2 questions please :)

Kay I'm new to the whole Component style. I had a friend point me in the right direction as far as a layout goes. Well I still have a few questions. Two actually. Cuz they contain pictures I put them under the cut.



Kay first I want to remove the two things:

And second. I've search high and low and still nothing. But I added more components, but I want them to look like this. But I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to do it...

I would ask the owner how she did it. But some people aren't so nice when you ask them how they made their layout :x
