moving sidebar placement

hey all.... im hoping someone can help... i looked thru the tutorials and im so confused =/ i have component now... but i want to move my sidebar up next to my header... like musicandlyrics can anyone tell me how i would move it up so that my layout looks just like that???

any help always appreciated. thanks!!!
