Rounded Corner Borders Not Showing Up

I love the rounded corners aspect of component, but since I'm using the code for the rounded nav bar & the smaller comment box, the borders for the rounded corners aren't showing up. What am I missing?







Also, is there a way to add an extra component for RSS-fed news headlines? (not critical, just curious)
