A helpful suggestion (I hope)

kunzite1, feel free to add to the Beginner's Guide.

I have found myself in a position where there are some odd quirks in my LJ due to adding new code to old code and also learned that the old way of putting the theme colors in the theme layer and everything else in the user layer is now pretty well reversed. As such I've decided to rebuild with all new and then, when I'm done switch to that.

That said, this presented a problem of not quite being able to remember what changes I put in, or where to find them. Not all were listed in the Tutorials (that I could find this early in the morning anyway *cough*), such as the one I'll list below, but thankfully I've had them linked in my LJ's memories.

So what I'm starting to do as I build this fresh theme layer with my customizations, is to comment them at the top of the document, along with the URL such as this:
###################################################################

###################################################################

Then I'll add to it as I add and compile. It's my hope that it will not only make it easier for me (and other users who are building or rebuilding), but make it easier for anyone helping someone to be able to see what they trying to accomplish. For instance, the next thing I'm planning on adding is the Customizing the Entries. So it will look like:
###################################################################
# 12 Dec 2005 Began with S&C W/Rounded Navbar by kunzite1 #
# http://www.livejournal.com/community/component_help/669901.html #

###################################################################

So what do you think? Would this help all around? Should it be standard operating procedure?
